On May 5th, PHRC opened a new clinic location on the West Side of Los Angeles, and we couldn’t be more excited.

download The clinic is located in the heart of West LA at 11500 Olympic Blvd, Suite 440, in between Sawtelle Blvd. and Barrington Ave.

Stephanie will be spearheading the LA clinic and is already feeling at home in LA. (She’s loving the weather, and is becoming a pro at reading parking meter signs and maneuvering around traffic.)

“I am touched by the warm reception of our new patients and the medical community here in LA,” Stephanie says. “People have directed me to the airport, brought Abbie treats, offered to help put together furniture and to show me around town. I am happy to be part of this new community and to work as a team to help our patients meet their goals.”

Adds Liz: “I am thrilled that PHRC has been able to extend our services to the Los Angeles area. I’m excited to continue to expand our network of providers for this patient population in Southern California. And although we will miss seeing Stephanie as regularly, we’re glad to know that she is happily making a new home in Los Angeles, as long as she doesn’t become a Dodger fan 😉

PHRC LA is our fourth clinic location to date. Spurred on by our desire to make a difference in the arena of pelvic floor physical therapy, we opened the doors to the first PHRC location in San Francisco in July 2006. Today, in addition to San Francisco and now Los Angeles, PHRC has locations in Berkeley and Los Gatos.

“I am overjoyed to have Stephanie and the PHRC team here in Los Angeles!” says Stephanie’s patient, MT. “I have already been to the LA office twice and I found myself smiling with excitement as I walked in the door to the office! I had previously traveled twice in the last year to Los Gatos and had significant improvements in my pain and overall pain management and PT treatment plan from just those two visits.

I am looking forward to hopefully completely regaining my health now that Stephanie and her team are local here in Los Angeles and I can see them on a regular basis.  She is so knowledgeable about treating pelvic pain and does everything possible to not only treat her patients, but also to coordinate their overall treatment plan with all other doctors involved. HIP HIP HOORAY FOR PHRC!

What makes PHRC unique?

We are excited to bring our unique treatment approach to Los Angeles. One of the things that makes our clinic unique is that as physical therapists we focus solely on the pelvic floor and pelvic girdle muscles. The benefit of our focus is that it has allowed us to establish a deep well of experience that we are able to draw from when treating this complex part of the anatomy.

In addition, we embrace a multidisciplinary treatment approach to patient care. Gynecologists, urologists, gastroenterologists, orthopedists, pain management specialists, psychologists, acupuncturists, among others, are all specialists that have a role to play in treating the pelvic floor. So when developing a treatment plan for a patient, our therapists draw from all appropriate medical disciplines.

Through the years we have worked hard at PHRC to foster relationships with providers throughout the country who treat pelvic floor dysfunction. As a result, when developing a treatment plan for our patients, we are able to include these providers.

Once a patient’s treatment team is in place, we embrace the role of “CEO” of the team. In this role, we communicate and coordinate with the other members of the team. The reason we take on this role is that we believe that in order for a multidisciplinary treatment plan to be successful, there must be one provider at the helm of the ship. And since we are the provider who will spend the most time with the patient, it makes sense for us to tackle the job!

If you’re a patient interested in making an appointment at our new LA office, please call (424) 293-2305.

All our best,

The PHRC Team

  1. Can you recommend a Pelvic Floor Therapist in Ohio or southern Michigan? Hopefully one who is familiar with PNE.
I have learned so much from your site.
    Thank you,
